Patricia UrquiolaThe table top is made from an uneven slab of Onice bianco, recomposed to form a right-angled geometrical shape with the aid of resin extensions. The symbiosis between Onyx (natural) and the resin (synthetic) is achieved through a kind of graft, with the scar left intentionally visible where the two materials join: the black grid of the resin marks an underlying boundary, a reminder of the form of the original slab. The table top lays on a modified version of the steel structures normally used to support slabs. Also available in a variant with rod-shaped feet (see last photos).
