Sublimis Tabula
Sublimis Tabula is a collection of centerpieces created by designer Raffaello Galiotto. A project that blends the strength of lithic material with the lightness of sculptural gesture, transforming marble into sinuous, perforated, and astonishing forms.
Inspired by the ancient symbolism of the cornucopia—traditionally filled with fruit, grain, and precious foods—the centerpiece was meant to evoke the idea of the “horn of plenty,” which should never run empty, offering its rich gifts essential for life. An emblem of wealth, fertility, prosperity, and good fortune, Sublimis Tabula celebrates the centerpiece as an element of balance and harmony, the focal point of conviviality. Not merely a decorative object, but also a wish for luck and well-being. Within the circle of the table, the center becomes origin and fulcrum, the perfect point from which everything radiates: a reminder of order and the beauty of symmetry.
The eight centerpieces in the collection stand out for their variety of polychrome marbles — including Sodalite, Confusion Red, Calacatta Antico, and Emerald Quartzite — for their sculpted forms, and for the refined ornamentation that enhances their tactile sensuality.
Each piece is a small domestic architecture: an invitation to contemplation and to the physical experience of matter, where technology and art converse in harmony.
With Sublimis Tabula, Budri and Raffaello Galiotto once again expand the boundaries of stone craftsmanship, giving marble a contemporary and poetic soul: a perfect balance of technique, form, and meaning.
