Fragment

Budri presents Fragment, the new and innovative collection of furniture and surfaces with a sustainable soul, designed by Gwenael Nicolas of Curiosity Tokyo, former designer of the Marmor Natvm Collection, presented in 2019.
The collection stems from Budri’s continuous and constant research, aimed at studying design solutions for marble surfaces and furnishings, with particular attention to sustainability.

Fragment – fragments in Italian -, the name itself tells its essence. In fact, it was born from the idea of recovering thin fragments of different widths and lengths from the mosaic working rods and slabs resulting from the manufacturing processes. Juxtaposed and merged with a component patented by the company that makes them extremely resistant, they form longitudinal and horizontal patterns of monochromatic or multicolored shades.

This innovative technology is called BUDRI SLIM, a name studied ad hoc which means, in fact, SUSTAINABLE LIGHT INNOVATIVE MARBLE and has been applied for the first time to the collection of Fragment furniture, accessories and surfaces, representing a revolution in the field of stone processing, both for planning in the industrial design sector giving ample creative possibilities, both in the architectural field.

Fragment includes two rectangular living tables, both composed of rods in white or polychrome shades. The patterns have a central white background that contrasts with the rest of the surface. The six coffee and side tables, of different sizes and heights, can be placed next to each other. One triptych is made up of white marbles only, while the others have blue and blue marbles to emphasize the green soul of the project.

A self-supporting polychrome cladding flows into a console. Two vases and a floor lamp complete the collection with two impressive coverings. The chandelier is also majestic and of great scenic effect, which remains suspended with a surprising lightness on the long white living table. The thin marble rods crown the surrounding environment. The presence of metals with a mirror finish surprisingly reflects the colored patterns with soft light.
