Raffaello Galiotto
Born in Chiampo (VI) in 1967. After studying Fine Arts in Venice, he founded his own design studio in 1993. Alongside his product design work, mainly in the furniture sector, he cultivates a strong interest in research, materials, production processes, and technology. He develops original experiments and international design exhibitions.
In the field of marble and natural materials, he has received several awards for his work with leading companies in the sector. He is a design lecturer at the University of Ferrara; his projects have been published in books and magazines and exhibited in international events and museums.
He specializes in the design of injection-moulded plastic products and later, driven by his interest in materials, production processes, and technology, he develops original experiments and exhibitions, especially in the field of marble and natural materials.
He designs numerous products and collections with important companies in the sector, exploring the characteristics of stone—such as surface, gravity, translucency, colour, the use of digital technology, and waste reduction.
He has organized exhibitions and conferences on design, serving on the board of ADI Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige. His projects have been published in books and magazines and exhibited at international events. Since 2014, he has curated “The Italian Stone Theatre,” the experimental pavilion of Marmomac. From 2011 to 2019, he was a design lecturer at the University of Ferrara.
