Budri partecipates to “Journey to the Centre of the Table” – Marmomac 2024 – care and design by Raffaello Galiotto

18 September 2024

We are very pleased to invite you to visit the installation that will take place at The Plus Theatre, Hall 10 – Veronafiere – in occasion of Marmomac 2024, from 24 to 27 September.

When faced with a bare table, we are generally tempted to arrange something in the middle. This reassuring gesture, guided by our innate sense of order and balance, highlights the ideal focal point of the tabletop and also helps define the perimeter of the area of use.

Starting from this intention, the concept of table centrepieces has developed over time: these decorative yet functional objects are usually quite valuable, in terms of workmanship or material.

The “Journey to the Centre of the Table” exhibition comes forward as a colourful, fascinating composition of natural stone tables comprising tabletops made from slabs and finely crafted centrepieces using the most advanced CNC technologies

An extraordinary journey into the world of marble and natural stone, revealing a wide range of colours and specific features, evidenced by the two-dimensional slabs and three-dimensional versions of design objects.

Budri partecipates to the project with Lobato and Cornucopia.

Lobato – the perforated and grooved container involves overlapping three lobed rings processed by water jet cutting technology. The precise interweaving of the five-axis slanted cutting paths allowed the simultaneous creation of the undulating surface and the perforations.

Cornucopia, the ancient horn of plenty – a symbol of prosperity – was produced by water jet cutting with concentric rings. The overlapping rings and their surface continuity give rise to the particular helical, hollow and tapered shape.
